Chitradurga, Feb 8: In the all India entrance examination held for entry into Sainik Schools on Sunday February 7, question papers were mixed up when distributing to the children.
The examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency. At the examination centre located at Pillekerenahalli Bapuji school in the town, 476 aspirants had appeared. At 10 am, question papers were distributed. They were meant for students writing their examination in different mediums, Hindi, Kannada and English. But when handing over the question papers, they were issued wrongly and students got question papers that were not in their chosen languages.
After an hour since the exams started, the faux pas came to the open after which the papers were taken back. By then, the students had mentioned OMR code and booklet numbers in the spaces provided. This will create problems when scanning the sheets at the time of evaluation. The parents of the children were angry at the prospects of the future of their children suffering because of this mistake.
Deputy director of public instruction, K Ravishankar Reddy said that the National/testing/agency held the examination and that his department has no information of these things.
