Governor Sankaranarayanan Visits Aga Khan Palace in Pune

Pune, Jul 23: The Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan accompanied by Prof (Smt) Radha Sankaranarayanan on Thursday, July 22 visited the Gandhi National Memorial at the historic Aga Khan Palace in Pune.

Mahatma Gandhi was placed under house arrest at the Aga Khan Palace in the 1940s. 

The Governor also paid tributes at the Samadhis of Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai at the Palace.  The Governor and Smt Radha Sankaranarayanan later visited the various handicraft stalls in the complex.

Shobhana Ranade, Secretary, Gandhi National Memorial Society accompanied the Governor during the visit.
