Mumbai, Aug 2: The Bunts associations’ worldwide belongs to one family. The scholarships that are awarded to economically-weaker community students will achieve equality among the students at large, in order to improve their educational standards and thereby assure better future to them, said Barkoor Sudhakar Shetty, veteran industrialist and managing director of Vasudha Chemicals.
Sudhakar Shetty was speaking at the distribution programme of scholarships to community students, which was organized by Mulund Bunts at Kalidas auditorium, Mulund (West), here on Sunday August 1.
Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty, president of Mulund Bunts presided.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Shetty said that education imparted inclusive of spiritual awareness to students, would make the students worthy citizens of our country. The scholarships to economically-backward community students would go a long way in fulfilling their aspirations in life, said Vivek Shetty.
Mulund Bunts convenor S B Shetty, vice-president Dr S P Shetty, joint secretary Anant K Adyantaya, P N Shetty and others were present.
Scholarships were distributed to over 100 students, 10 engineering students and economically-backward community students on the occasion.
Mulund Bunts treasurer K Jaya Sooda welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Former secretary Prakash Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
