Indian Christians Denounce Plan against Holy Quran

Media Release

New Delhi, Aug 8: Indian Christian human rights activists have sent a protest letter to the United States ambassador to India in New Delhi condemning a plan by an American evangelical church to burn copies of Holy Quran. The statement described the American pastor’s proposal as an activity of fringe lunatics and a violation of religious freedom and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

“We strongly condemn the provocation of Pastors Terry and Sylvia Jones and urge the president of the United States of America Barack Obama to take legal measures against such hate speech”, two Christian human rights activists J G Anthony and R L Francis said in a statement released here. The two Christian human rights activists also appealed to the US government to immediately intervene to halt the plan, which they said, could trigger religious conflict around the world.

Such insult to any religious holy book in the name of Jesus is insult to the Christianity, such people cannot be called “true Christians”, and Muslim brothers must ignore such fanatic statement in the larger
interest as this does not represent popular Christian feeling, stated Poor Christian Liberation Movement president  R L Francis.

    CP.

Who invaded Iraq? Who lied to the world about WMD of Iraq? Who is supporting jews against in its expansion policy? Who first used the nuke bombs in the world? Dont act innocent. Tipu killed christians because then christians aided the british. I dont support what Tipu did. but its like jews betrayed Germany - Hitler and Hitler ordered the killling of German jews. Nationalism is first and then ones religion. Out of love for ones relgion we cant love and support foreign occupier against our native rulers. There is a morale in my write up.

    Dear Shahnawaz,
Terry does not represent Christians all over the world just as Tippu Sultan who slaughtered Christians and Akbar who was just to all. A lot western governments who are christian by principle uphold human rights to many people including Muslims regardless of their faith who other wise would not have a safe place to go to.Unfortunately the same independence these countries impart is also taken to propagate extremism. So do not blame governments but individuals.

Pastors Terry and Sylvia Jones should read Holy Quran again and again to understand that Islam is the only faith that accepts Jesus Christ. In Holy Quran, Allah stated Jesus Christ (PBUH) more than Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and insulting Holy Quran is insulting Jesus Christ. These pastors should understand the purpose of Holy Scriptures of any religions they always propagate peace and harmony.

Christians are the most peace loving people but not the christian governments. Hats off to Indian christian brothers for their stand. Pastor Terry doesnt represent whole of christianity and what he intend to do is an act of satan. Satan is pleased when two human beings fight in the name of God. I call upon muslim brethern to igore Terry ad forgive him for his actios ad pray to God to grant him full wisdom and light. There are lunatics in every field like politics, love, hate, and this is an instance of religious lunatism and intolerance.

Like the Christian community in India, the Christian community in the U.S. is totally upsetted with
the un-Christian act of Terry. He is nothing but a lunatic to create problems in the society.

He has not read the Bible yet, so  doing this terrorist act. He has to face some serious consequences
for this evil act to create discord in the society.

Jesus taught to show the other  cheek, but his attitude is cutting the head of somebody he does't
    like.
