Heranjal Venkataramana, as he was popularly called, was a great Yakshagana 'sthree vesha' artist about 35 years ago. His portrayal of some the characters are memorable. His 'kunitha' was perfect. Hence, late Kota Shivarama Karantha took him for his troup. I pray for his soul and courage to his family members to bear the loss.
