Mangalore: Audio CD of Tulu Movie ‘Dever’ Hits Stands

Mangalore, Aug 18: The audio CD of Tulu movie ‘Dever’ was released at the Town Hall on Wednesday August 18.

Karkala MLA Gopal Bhandary inaugurated the event and released the CD on the occasion.

Actor and director K N Tailor said that the Tulu movie had been produced with a lot of effort and needs support from the audience of the district. He said that this is essential to help Tulu movies grow as it is very difficult for them to sustain in theatres in competition with movies of other languages.

Assistant commissioner of police B J Bhandary was the chief guest at the programme who said that Tulu culture and movies will be encouraged in the same way as Tulu plays have been enjoyed for years by all the district’s citizens and encouraged till now.

Navneeth Shetty Kadri was the master of ceremony at the programme.

Producer Vachan Shetty, M K Sitaram Kulal, singer Namitha Shetty, journalist Manohar Prasad, president of Gokarnanath Co-operative Bank Shivanand Kerkera, and writer Karkala Shaker Bhandary were among the guests present at the programme.
