Mangalore's Body Building Pride Raymond D'Souza Wins 'Bharat Kesari'

Chattisgarh , Aug 22: Former 'Mr World', pride of Mangalore and body builder Raymond D'Souza has won 'Bharat Kesari' title for the first time under Masters' Category. The national level competition was held at Chattisgarh on Saturday August 21.
Raymond D'Souza emerged winner by beating 28 other strong contestants from all over the country. "This is one title I was looking to win for long and now I am happy that I have won all major national titles like Bharat Kishore, Bharat Kumar, Bharat Shresta and Bharat Shree including Bharat Kesari" told Raymond speaking to Daijiworld.com from Chattisgarh as soon as the results were announced.

It can be recalled that, seven-time participant of 'Mr World' contest, had won the title for country in 1990 which was held in Japan. Started competiting at the highest level in 1983, Raymond won Bharat Kishore in 1983, Bharat Kumar in 1984, Bharat Shree 1986 and Bharat Shresta for eight consecutive times. He also has won Mr Asia Runner-up title in 1987 and Indo-Pak Championship title in 1992.
Raymond D'Souza currently employed in Corportation Bank, Kulshekar is active in training and encouraging youngsters towards bodybuilding field. He also runs Raymond's Gym at Kulshekar.
Recently Mangaloreans' Accociations in UAE and Doha had honoured him for his achievement in the filed of sports. "I will continue to keep myself fit to participate at the highest level. I want to encourage the newcomers and youngsters and hence will continue to participate in senior or masters' category" said jubilant Raymond D'Souza.
