Mumbai, Sep 1: The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation’s (KSTDC) progress review of tourism potential of Karnataka and its campaign on future plans to boost tourism was held at The Leela Kempinski Hotel, Sahar, Andheri (East), on Tuesday August 31.
 
KSTDC managing director Vinay Luthra, tourism director K Vishwanath Reddy, and chief secretary K Jyothi Ramalingeshwaram presented elaborate information on the tourism potential of Karnataka on the occasion.
 

Addressing media persons, Reddy and Ramalingeshwaram explained the state’s plans to boost tourism.  Many special train services and flights will take national and international tourists to this year’s Mysore Dasara.  Boarding and lodging facilities based on the package system will be provided with the purpose of facilitating the tourists to visit various locations in comfort.
 
The KSTDC officers highlighted that Karnataka has many significant tourist spots.  Both press and e-media have popularized these tourist spots internationally.  Tourists from all over the country including Mumbai, Goa, Kerala, Hyderabad (AP) and international tourists are free to explore Karnataka. 
 
Mohan Nayak and Praveen S from Mysore Sales International Limited (MSIL) were also present on the occasion. 
 
Kangilu, folk dance of Tulunadu, was staged by Gurucharan troupe from Udupi, and Uttar Karnataka folk dance by Ganapanath Honnavar and group was also held as part of the cultural programme.
