Udupi: Devotees Across District Bid Colourful Adieu to Lord Ganesha

Udupi, Sep 15: Idols of Lord Ganesha were taken out in procession to be immersed in water bodies across the district with much fanfare, on Wednesday September 15.
The idols were worshipped in Kaup, Katpady, Ucchila, and other towns from Saturday September 11 to Wednesday September 15 with traditional music, puppet dances, and ‘puja’ while the procession to immerse the idols was held on Wednesday evening.
Nearly 150 policemen were deployed to provide tight security to the procession at Kaup circle enroute to the Arabian Sea.
