The police have also retrieved watches, a gas cutter, sharp weapons, rod, DVR, spray paint, chilli powder. Items worth Rs 30 lac was seized.

The police had also examined the CCTV footage on the national highways earlier to trap the accused. They informed that the accused who were 7-8 in number are from Surathkal and Farangipete.

Understandable if a jewellery shop in the precincts of a hustling and bustling crowded metropolis was looted. Look at the area where the shop is situated, it has green plantations around, one would get an impression that the shop is situated at the end of the jungle, so to say ... an ideal soft corner for a thief to wait, strike and plan his next move. Wondering how many thieves carried out rehearsals in the past before striking it rich.
