Bengaluru: More youthful look for ministry? Three deputy chief ministers likely

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 28: With a more youthful chief minister having been designated to succeed B S Yediyurappa as the chief minister of Karnataka, now people are eager about the formation of the new ministry. The party is expected to give preference to young and zestful people.

The BJP, which has set a cut-off age for assuming power for its leaders, has been trying to give opportunities to young and enthusiastic people wherever possible. It is seen that when choosing candidates for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, it has given chances to new faces and thereby building second rung of leadership.

(L to R): Govind Karjol, R Ashok and B Sriramulu

The BJP legislature party meeting has unanimously chosen Basavaraj Bommai (61) as the new chief minister. There are rumours that Govind Karjol, R Ashok and B Sriramulu would be made the deputy chief ministers, thus giving a touch of youthfulness to the ministry.

Bypolls for Hangal and Sindagi constituencies will be held soon, and the BJP is under compulsion to win the elections and prove that it has the backing of the people. Thereafter, zilla and taluk panchayat elections are likely to be held. If the party fares well, it helps in facing the 2023 assembly election. The party will have to rely on enthusiastic party workers who are ready to implement people friendly programmes and give good publicity to the achievements of the government, in order to fare well in the elections.

Why can’t our politics come out of dynasty, caste and religion? There is absolutely no value for anything else. All governments are formed purely based on vote bank politics and win ability in the next election. The next big considerations are hindu, muslim, love jihad, cow and beef. At the end who will take care of development of the state???
