Bantwal, Jul 28: After an auto-rickshaw tumbled at Periyapade on Manihalla Sarapady road on Wednesday July 28 morning, one person died while seven were injured. Two among them suffered serious injuries.
The deceased was Francis Suares (85).
Two suffered serious injuries in the accident. They have been admitted into a private hospital in Mangaluru while the others are being treated in a hospital in Bantwal.
The auto-rickshaw was moving towards the town from Sarapady with a number of passengers when the driver lost control over the three-wheeler near Pariyapade, causing the accident.
