Udaya TV's Shrinivas Nayak Bags JCI Outstanding Journalist Award

Udaya TV reporter Shrinivas Nayak Indaje was honoured with the outstanding journalist award by Junior Chamber International (JCI), during the celebration of Jaycee week -2010.

Shrinivas Nayak was honoured by chief guest of the programme G G Mohandas Prabhu, president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

Addressing the gathering, Mohandas Prabhu said Shrinivas is a role model to other journalists. Being a TV journalist he has achieved a lot and his news stories have resulted in developmental works in the district, he said. 

Aravinda Rao, national trainer from Jaycees, said JCI has been honouring personalities from various fields with the expectation of more service from them.

Jagadeesh Bangera, president of Jaycees said it is a custom with Jaycees to honour outstanding personalities for their achievements. He conveyed his best wishes to Shrinivas Nayak.
 
Jaycees Mangalore has selected Shrinivas Nayak for the award considering his  achievements as a journalist, with a service of 10 years in the field. During the ceremony, Jaycees recalled his achievement of pressuring the state government to set up the police commissionerate in the city, through repeated focus on the issue in his reporting. 

Five other eminent personalities from various fields were also honoured on the occasion.
