Kundapur, Jul 28: “Let us not be irresponsible with the third wave of coronavirus. Our health is in our own hands. Give up negative thoughts about the Corona vaccine. Get yourself vaccinated. There is huge demand for the vaccine already and people are going from pillar to post for them. As much as 95% of the people above 45 years of age are vaccinated on priority,” said Koteshwar primary health centre medical officer Dr Poornima.

She was addressing the first meeting for the term 2020-21 of Koteshwar gram panchayat held at Koteshwar Karnataka public school primary division auditorium on Wednesday, July 28.

Koteshwar gram panchayat president Krishna Golla who presided over the meeting said that the tax that is pending to be received will be recovered soon for the development of the grama. “Disposal of trash is becoming a big problem. Two staff members will be deployed to identify and take action against those who throw trash on both sides of the national highway at night,” he said.

Kundapur chief veterinary doctor Dr Babanna Poojary, Narega technical assistant engineer Sudhanwa Krishna, fisheries department supervisor J M Vishwanathayya, infant welfare scheme overlooker B Prabhavathi Shetty, Kundapur police station ASI Navin, various department officials and villagers were provided necessary information.

Panchayat vice president Ragini, member Jayalaxmi, Chandramohan, Lolakshi N Kotwal, Lokesh J Putti, Asha V Netravati, Rajashekar Shetty, Vishalakshi Shettigar, Suresh Devadiga, Royson D’ Mello, Lata Shekar Mogaveera, Shobha Shetty, Nagaraja Kanchan, Raghavendra Poojary, Nagaraja Kanchan, Raghavendra Poojary, Janaki Billava, Revati Raju, Udaya Nayak, Shobha Kunder, Raju Marakala, Vivek and Susheela were present.
