Daijiworld Media Network – Hassan (MS)

Hassan, Aug 29: Police of Konanur in Arakalagud taluk of the district have arrested an auto rickshaw driver for allegedly killing his friend as he was charging passengers lower fare for a ride in his autorickshaw.

Prasanna (31), resident of Piriyapatna of Mysuru district is the accused.

Prasanna allegedly murdered his friend Jagadish (42), a resident of Lakkur forest range in Mallapura of Arakalagud taluk. Both were good friends and were making a living by owning and driving autorickshaws.

Both used to take passengers on hire from Piriyapatna-Ramanathapura auto stand. However, Jagadish used to charge passengers lower fare, due to which Prasanna was not getting passengers.

Angered over this, Prasanna allegedly plotted to kill Jagadish.

On the night of Thursday, August 26, Prasanna asked Jagadish to accompany him on the pretext of picking up some passengers in his auto. He parked the autorickshaw in a secluded spot and allegedly assaulted Jagadish first and killed him later, before escaping from the spot.

Accused Prasanna is now in police custody.

That is a very valid point Sir. We have lost sensitivity nowadays, especially the younger generation. The excessive raw violence thrust upon the growing generation through visual and print media is the main culprit. When I was a kid, i wouldn't eat the chicken curry if I see the chicken being killed or if I see cleaning of the chicken. Stomach used to swirl when seeing blood in movies!

A few people want to get richer by overnight on others account. in case this rickshaw driver not getting passengers he should have honestly shifted his base ... why to compete from the same spot. This shows not true friendship but betrayal.

Very sad, RIP I suggest all religious places to provide wisdom to devotees rather being a place to collect huge money. People still go blind on what is happening in our surroundings / society.
