Karnataka records 1,102 new Covid cases, positivity rate at 0.64%

Bengaluru, Sep 8: Karnataka on Wednesday, Sep 8 registered 1,102 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 17,058. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 338.

As many as 17 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 37,458.

The state recorded 1,458 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 29,03,547.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,58,090 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.64% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.54%.

As many as 4,66,19,059 people have received vaccination so far.
