Bengaluru, Sep 10: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has directed the State Government officials to immediately start the process of selecting 4 lakh beneficiaries for allotment of houses under different housing schemes.
An official government order has asked the officials to ensure that a separate proposal was submitted if the Union Government did not grant approval for allotment of 4 lakh houses or approved lesser number of houses so that the remaining beneficiaries can be allotted houses under different housing schemes implemented by the State Government.

Under the official government order, officials have been asked to identify beneficiaries in urban and rural areas from among the socially and economically backward sections of society for allotment of 4 lakh houses.
The Chief Minister received representations from the people near his residence in R T Nagar in the city on Friday.
