Jennifer Mascarenhas, in her address, paid tributes to SMKC’s spiritual directors including its first director, Fr Cyprian D'Souza, under of whose guidance SMKC blossomed, and has since been able to realize its dreams of helping the needy in Konkani community back in Mangalore.  “So far, SMKC has distributed almost Rs 1.2 crore for various causes including educational, social, and cultural needs of the society,” she said.  “19 engineers and a doctor have completed their education, duly benefitting from the scholarships given through SMKC Education Trust Fund,” she continued.

looks very colourful and lovely. Kuddos to the organisers of this.

Yes if we have Eric bab and group, then it is feast to the ears of the audience and of course music lovers any where any time. It is wonderful to have him around.

May be organisers could give a hidden dress code to the comperes when they do a " Compering Job " for a great show like this. Permit me to do say this, since these events are major and are telecasted n viewd by millions of people, my concern is our image of Konkan Catholics..!!

Konkani is not at all promoted in most of Karnataka. North and most of cental Karnataka the konkani language is totally neglected and surprisingly converted into kannada version. Chikmagalur is worst hit in terms of konkani language. It is really sad that diocease level Bishops are encouraging only Kannada.Let the konkan showers spread throuout India. Awareness is highly important for konkani christians to speak and dominate konkani in India and abroad. Long live konkani. Let us utter konkani as Germans do in Germany.
