Kundapur, Sep 30: The corona warriors are determined to see that every citizen of the country is vaccinated. In one such incident, health workers crossed the river to an isle in Navunda village by boat and vaccinated some people. Nurses of Maravanthe primary health centre and ASHA workers were involved with this effort.
Seven families live in this isle named Navunda Kudru, which is located across river Sauparnika. These families have about 35 members. Most of them have got both the vaccinations but there were a handful who could not walk or take a boat ride because of old age and infirmity. Nurses, Rajeshwari and Mitra, as well as ASHA workers, Devaki and Saku, went to the isle by riding a boat belonging to Ramesh Karanth and vaccinated those who had so far been unable to get vaccinated.
The team visited 21 houses in Navunda gram panchayat limits and vaccinated those who were unable to get themselves vaccinated so far. Their sincere effort has come in for lavish appreciation.
