Sullia, Nov 19: BJP Raita Morcha state president, Eranna Kadadi, said that the agricultural amendment acts which the central government plans to enforce are favourable to the farmers. He said that the agitations being carried out against these acts are not led by genuine farmers and that they are politically inclined.
He was addressing a meeting of BJP Raita Morcha office bearers from Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts, which was held at Srinivasa Padmavathi auditorium of Lord Venkataramana temple, Sullia, on Thursday November 18.
The central government has implemented various schemes to make sure that young farmers do not deviate from their activities. The farmers should make the best use of these schemes and achieve financial progress. The central government has given impetus to agriculture without poisonous contaminations. Rs 75,000 crore is being transferred to accounts of farmers every year under the Krishi Samman scheme. Solar power has been provided for 20 lac pump sets. The Raita Morcha office bearers should work as a link to ensure that many schemes implemented by the government for the benefit of farmers reach them," he exhorted.
Raita Morcha state general secretary, Shivaprasad, state secretary and state convener of Farmers Produce Society, Dr Naveen, BJP Sullia Mandal Samiti president, Harish Kanjiipili etc were present.
