16-year-old student meets watery grave at Beltangady

Beltangady, Dec 10: A 16-year-old boy drowned in a rivulet on Friday December 10 here.

The deceased is identified as Samarth hailing from Chikkamagaluru. He was pursuing his first PU at a private college here.

It is gathered that Samarth and his friend had gone to take bath in Somavathi river here. When he ventured into the water, he drowned.

His friend raised an alarm in vain. Locals, who rushed to the spot fished the body out from the rivulet.
