Mangaluru: Two thieves involved with two-wheeler thefts held

Mangaluru, Dec 11: The police personnel of Barke station here have arrested two thieves and confiscated from their possession two two-wheelers and three mobile phones.

The arrested accused are Sumanth Burman (19), residing at Meenakaliya near Baikampady, and Taranath Salian (26), who belongs to Kemminje in Puttur taluk. The accused was nabbed when the police were investigating a missing case of a two-wheeler parked near his house in Ballabagh by K Prakash residing near Gundi House next to Pattumudi, Ballabagh. His vehicles had been stolen on November 22.

The police said that Sumanth Burman faces cases in Kavoor, Panambur and Mangaluru (east) police stations while Taranath has cases registered against him in the city (north), Suratkal, Ullal, city south, city east and Puttur town police stations. The cases relate to thefts, robberies, ganja trafficking etc.

Barke police inspector K Jyotirlinga Honakatti and staff participated in this operation.

    For the first time, ppl from non-peace loving community got involved in vehicle theft case. Vehicle theft, ganja supply, gold smuggling and chappal theft etc is the right of only “peace loving “ community . Please don’t get into these kids of business prospects of “peace lovers”- otherwise they will be left jobless. Especially after Modi came to power, their life is miserable. Pls understand this.
