Mangaluru Dec 14: Three persons were arrested under Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Bill (POCSO) for sexually harassment a minor under Ullal police station limits.

Two of the accused are from Mangaluru and another from Kasargod.

The incident took place at an apartment in Mudipu. A complaint was filed regarding the same by the victim’s mother.

According to the complaint, the victim was given alcohol and drugs before being sexually assaulted. The victim has been sent to a counselling centre.

One of the arrested in an accused in the Chilimbigudde incident under Bajpe police station limits where a POCSO case was filed.

Earlier, a missing complaint was filed but it came to light that the girl was a victim of eve-teasing. When the girl visited the police station, the head constable took the contact number of the girl and misbehaved with her through messages. Later the head constable was suspended.

As per the complaint, the accused were known to victim and she had been out with them.

The accused in this case had supported a few to desecrate Naga Banas.

As of now, the accused has two POCSO cases, robbery and NDPS cases in five police stations.
