Kaup, Dec 16: Students from two different communities resorted to open fight in college premises after a boy student was found talking to a girl student from another community on Thursday December 16.

The incident took place at Kaup government first grade college.

The issue cropped up when a boy from one community spoke to a girl from another community.

Arguments led to a scuffle and fist fight. Kaup station police rushed to the spot.

Police advised the students against fighting over trivial matters and brought the situation under control.

    can any one force a girl to talk to him in a school... it is the girl's decision to talk to a school mate / classmate... can any one enter into conversation with a girl student against her wishes... is any one preventing any girl from wearing long trouser/lehenga and full sleeve shirt / blouse... Many girls / women in local traditional dress have spoken to me when I was in gulf... it is better if all girls students upto college are sensitized about covering their body in full in view of increasing number of sexual harassment of children...

    One community segregates their females from males by enforcing dress code etc and then covers it by saying it's their 'choice'. If their females are not supposed to interact with males then why do their males interact with females of other religion?. is it by 'choice' of the males? If both genders from both communities had equal chance of interactions then this problem would not have occurred. We dont see such issues coming up when Christian and Hindu genders intermingle.
