Bengaluru, Dec 16: Primary and Secondary Education Minister B C Nagesh has indicated that the State Government is considering implementing National Education Policy at pre-primary stage in select schools from the next academic year.

Replying to a question from Congress member Mahantesh Shivanand Koujalgi during the question hour in the Assembly, the minister said the government was thinking of introducing the NEP at pre-primary stage.

However, he said the State Government has not taken a decision on introduction of NEP for primary educational level also from the next academic year.

The minister said the State Government has decided to involve anganwadi workers in the process of implementation of NEP for pre-primary stage. Some of the anganwadi workers had been trained on an experimental basis. But the final training could be given only after the completion of curriculum under NEP.

“There is no question of implementing NEP without imparting training to the staff about the new system,’’ Nagesh said in response to apprehensions about involving the present staff of education department in NEP regime without imparting the necessary training.

“We will implement the NEP in a methodical manner and all the necessary preparations are going on. There is no question of creating a mess,” he said.

The minister explained that the government had constituted various committees to review the present status with respect to education in the state and also to prepare a position paper. “The curriculum as well as syllabus would be finalised after the preparation of the position paper,” he added.

The elders say the outward look is important if you want other to START respecting you and the inward character is important if you want them to KEEP respecting you. Look at this man who will say he is education minister- weak bent shoulders, pathetic hair and beard cut, casually worn shirt, even the saffron scarf is not ironed and pined properly. Even the milkman will dress more neatly for press conference than this. Pathetic, bloody those $#@//? taliban have better presentation than this.

Why BJP govt always wants to pass laws secretly and hurriedly in a unparliamentary and undemocratic way without following due procedure and not taking opposition into confidence. Shaka education is not for blind bhakths. NEP will produce more goons and influence the society to destroy peace, harmony, law and order. Kaup and Puttur students are victims of this NEP.
