Dec 18: DK reports 19 corona cases, Udupi adds 6 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Dec 18: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, December 18 reported 19 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.26%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 23,66,012 samples have been tested so far, out of which 22,49,849 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,16,163 out of which 171 are currently active.

As many as 8 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 114293.

The death in the district on Saturday is one. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,699.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,09,79,270 in fines for 90,850 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 13,30,326 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 6 new cases were reported on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 76,978 out of which 30 are currently active.

A total of 4 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,471 for the second wave.
