Mangaluru: Sexual harassment of law intern – Accused advocate K S N Rajesh surrenders before court

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 20: Advocate K S N Rajesh, who was accused of sexually harassing a law student, and then going underground, surrendered before the third JMFC court here on Monday December 20.

Advocate Rajesh reportedly reached the court in an ambulance from Coorg.

It may be recalled, a case about sexual harassment was registered in the women's police station here against the advocate in question on October 18 this year.

Earlier, the anticipatory bail application moved by him in the sixth additional district court here was rejected on November 1. The high court has also upheld this decision of the district court.

A few persons including the advocate’s wife had been arrested on the charges of extending help to the accused to escape from police. Some are out on bail now.

The way law enforcement agencies have proceeded against the accused person, suggests the involvment of high profile persons from "behind the scene". Remember he was a SPP. May be he was handling many sensitive criminal cases before the Lokayukta court. The "vested interest" group may have pressurized the SPP to show leniency in "some cases" which Mr. Rajesh would have rejected outright. The law intern may have been a trap to force him out of the high profile cases to teach him a lesson, a false case of sexual harassment may have been foisted against him. The lobby wants to divert the attention of public on high profile cases handled by him. Many such cases have taken place in the past. Also, the interns may have been planted in his office to change the course of "planning" and execution to decisively oust the SPP from "those cases". The lobby which I was referring here may be "criminals lobby" or local advocates lobby which generally defend high profile cases. Normally, any complaint against an advocate is first referred to Bar council, but the way it is dealt with suggests that "many things" are not OK with this case. The police have not acted like this earlier in any case. After all he is not a hard core criminal and the treatment given to him was dispropotion to the crime he has committed. The lobby which is working from behind is first to be exposed to unravel the whole truth. One should never believe any news until it is "properly verified" using "proven techniques". May "The Truth" prevail always.

Jail, just merely on the "victims" statement is completely wrong. The accused must get fair chance for giving his version and only on prima facie findings must the judge decide on bail or jail. It has become a new modus operandi for many I'll intentioned women to trap men under one sided matriarchal laws.

His surrendering follows the arrest of his wife and a relative in the case . I had commented that police did a clever thing so that the culprit would come forward. same thing happened. Now additional charges sexual assault and Lawbreaker. Would like to know the full story how and where he was hiding ?
