Karnataka reports 295 fresh Covid cases, day's positivity rate stands at 0.39 percent

Bengaluru, Dec 21: Karnataka on Tuesday, December 21, registered 295 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 7,074. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 204.

As many as 5 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Tuesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,295.

The state recorded 290 discharges from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total discharges to 29,57,546.

So far, Karnataka has seen 30,02,944 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.39% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.69 %.

As many as 8,32,62,520 people have received vaccination so far.
