Mangaluru: Omicron detected in passenger who arrived from Ghana

Mangaluru, Dec 23: The passenger who arrived at the airport here from Ghana on December 16 and tested positive for Covid19, was confirmed with Omicron variant.

Health department authorities informed on Thursday December 23 that the passenger had come from Ghana to Dubai and from Dubai to Mangaluru on December 16. The passenger was tested positive for Covid at the airport in the RT-PCR test. Her sample was sent to Bengaluru for genomic study on December 17. The passenger’s primary contacts who were 17 of them have tested negative and are quarantined, informed the authorities.

Earlier, the said passenger was isolated in the district Wenlock Hospital and was said to be asymptomatic.

    It is known that Omicron is less damaging and fast spreading......it that is so, then let everyone get it and get immunes to this corona forever without loss of lives......!!!!!!????? Let the pharma mafia go to hell.
