Mangaluru, Dec 24: ‘Senorita’, the third musical album of singer and music producer Lawrence D’Souza, Palimar was released on Wednesday December 23, at Kalaangann here.

Walter Nandalike, founder, Daijiworld Media Network, Eric Ozario, gurkar, Mandd Sobhann, Joyce Ozario, Alexis Castelino, managing director, Daijiworld TV, Roshan Crasta Bela, music director, graced the event as guests of honour.

Releasing the album 'Senorita', Walter said, "There was a time of cassettes and everyone made a habit of buying them to listen to the songs. Then we witnessed the era of CDs. But nowadays, the majority of music producers want to produce singles and upload them on YouTube channels. Now, after a long gap, we are all witnessing the release of a music album. We all know that Lawrence’s ‘Ishtageeth’ and ‘Chintlam’ delivered hit songs to the Konkani music world. Inspired by the success of these two projects, he has come up with a new album ‘Senorita’. This is the best example for Lawrence’s dedication and commitment over his passion and decisions. He always listens to others and answers them through his success. This makes Lawrence different from others. He has already held two musical nites successfully. Now he is aiming to perform abroad too. On this occasion, I congratulate and wish him all success in his future projects."

Wishing Lawrence the best, Eric Ozario said, “Lawrence is an inspiration to all of us. He displayed enough courage to produce an album at a time where CD players are available only in cars and homes. His passion in music led him to produce a musical album. I know his efforts on the project 'Senorita'. It is the result of two years of hard work. We all should appreciate him for his dedication towards music and his kindness in supporting Konkani music world. For 'Senorita', I congratulate him and wish success in future.”

Explaining the journey of the project, Lawrence said, “After my first two projects, I decided to take some time off from music production. But Joel Attur insisted that I produce 'Senorita'. Roshan Crasta Bela had some tunes committed for some other music producer. But unfortunately that project was on hold. Then as per Joel’s request, I took over that project. Along with Roshan, Joel took the entire responsibility of this project. Covid put a break on the production work in between. But after clearing numerous hurdles, we completed 'Senorita'. Hence, I am grateful to Joel and Roshan for all the arrangements and the beautiful production. I am fortunate to have the voices of Eric and Joyce bai in my album. Meanwhile, I thank all who are a part of the album directly or indirectly. Today I can say 'I produced a musical album’ only due to all of them.”

Prior to the release, Fr Richard Lasrado invoked God's blessing on the event with a prayer. Veena D’Souza, wife of Lawrence and children Leon and Loren, welcomed the dignitaries with flower bouquets. Reena Castelino compered the event.

‘Senorita’ contains 10 Konkani songs written by Wilson Kateel, Lloyd Rego, Vincy Bantwal, and Nellu Permannur. Renowned music director Roshan Crasta, Bela has composed the music for nine songs while one song named 'Wilma' is composed by Vincy Bantwal. The vocals for all the ten songs are recorded by promising musician and sound engineer Sanjay Rodrigues at RD Studio, Mangaluru. The cover of the album is designed by Clanwin Fernandes and stills are by Dayanand Kukkaje.

'Udi Udi' fame Prajoth D’Sa is also part of ‘Senorita’ as a backing vocalist. Along with Roshan Crasta, musicians Ronald Arron Coats, Kenny Pereira and Prajwal Fronterio have made ‘Senorita’ highly rich in music. The programming part of the album was handled by Vanil.

Veteran singers of Konkani music world Eric Ozario and Joyce Ozario have rendered their voices to the album. Known singers Ivy D’Souza, Lavita, Mohammed Iqbal, Lisha, Reshma, Nester, Joel Attur and Elton have also sung for the album along with Lawrence. Trending voice of Goa, Mark Revlon, is also part of the album with his unique singing.
