Dec 25: DK reports 11 corona cases, Udupi adds 14 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Dec 25: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, December 25 reported 11 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.19%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 24,10,477 samples have been tested so far, out of which 22,94,199 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,16,278 out of which 161 are currently active.

As many as 16 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 114417.

The death in the district on Saturday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,700.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,10,20,770 in fines for 91,265 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 13,50,356 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 14 new cases were reported on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 77,022 out of which 46 are currently active.

A total of 4 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,497 for the second wave.
