Mangaluru: 'Do not foment differences using Narayana Guru's name'- Biruver Kudla

Daijiworld Media Network -Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 25: Biruver Kudla organization has lamented the fact that some parties have been trying to mislead people in the name of Brahmashree Narayana Guru, who devoted himself to the ideals of one caste, one religion and one god, with an eye on reaping political benefits.

The representatives of the organization addressed a press conference in the city on Tuesday January 25.

"Sri Narayana Guru carried out fight against the menace of untouchability. Being a social reformer, he did away with discrimination existing in the society. He was a great soul who created awareness in the society about righteousness and spirituality. Some parties, desirous of getting voted to power, have been trying to confuse people with misinformation by creating controversy by claiming that the central government had rejected the tableau of Narayana Guru proposed by Kerala government on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations. This is condemnable," the organization stated. It also said that some quarters have been trying to wedge a divide among the people through false propaganda. The organization has called upon the people to be very careful about such evil designs of certain vested interests.

"There are guiding norms relating to the selection of tableau which take part in the Republic Day Parade that will be held at the Raj Path Delhi. Kerala government neglected to follow the guidelines prescribed by the centre. Because of this attitude of Kerala government, the tableau was found not eligible for being included in the procession, not because it relates to Narayana Guru. This is the truth. The Prime Minister, Modi, is a leader who himself follows the motto of the reverred Guru," it added.

Biruver Kudla further stated that there is total support from the organization and others for the procession of the tableau of Brahmashree Narayana Guru on the occasion of Republic Day. It also said that it hopes that through this, the affection and devotion people have towards Sri Narayana Guru will become stronger and more deep-rooted, which will be a model for the entire world.

Biruver Kudla representatives, Sahana Kuder, Vidya Rakesh, Rakesh Salian, Lakshmeesh Suvarna, Kishore Babu, Pranesh Bangera, Kiran and Rakshit Suvarna were present at the press conference.

Only request to protestors. Pls don't block roads. Many people are traveling, going to airports, railway stations, hospitals, other emergencies... Conduct a peaceful protest where it doesn't harm anyone yet achieves your goal.

Now let us see the move of B Ja Poojary who is a real confused master. He failed several times to unite his own people and party supporters in the past. Has done nothing to develop Mangalore city and poor in reality but did cast politics by trying to isolate billavas from others and gain votes. Later when youth realized his motive, he started losing. One important thing what we must learn from Shri. Guru Narayana Swamiji is that he has not stood only for billavas but for all downtrodden. Let us worship Narayana Guru as guru of all but not limited to billavas.

This is true ,how can you believe Kerala govt who is a hardcore communist and never respected Narayana Guru. This controversy was created deliberately to divide the people . The main opposition leader from Congress in Kerala is himself from the same community and not raised this topic as they are aware this is a plot by the communist party to divide the people. Even the people and party who are supporting todays protest are not clean and everyone is aware about the political mileage being taken . People who always hated Janardhan Poojary today just to get some face or political mileage are showing extreme love which will last for few days .

It looks like JB does not anything about Kerala Communism except that it is a thing to be hated and opposed….. Communism in Kerala is not born out of any revolution or industrial workers movement but it was based on land reforms and then prevailing caste system. Kerala had a very bad caste system dominated by the upper caste wherein the lower caste women were not supposed to cover their chest…. In fact there was breast tax on lower caste women for covering the chest….. (You may got through the legendary tale of Nangeli who chopped off her breasts in protest against the tax)….Also land holding were limited to the upper class and all the lower class were supposed to work as slaves for pittance….. It is against this background that Communism emerged in Kerala and they soon embraced the electoral politics and won people’s hearts….. Today communism is so deeply entrenched and that is why BJP’s caste politics (akin to what Kerala has gone through) won’t work out in Kerala, because Keralites know that they have suffered enough in the name of the caste…. During this journey of social upheaval, one of the main reformists was Sree Narayana Guru who promoted the egalitarian philosophy which went well with the communist philosophy….. Hence Sree Narayana Guru is revered by all in Kerala as an egalitarian reformist and not just a spiritual leader of Ezhava community….. But the problem with typical Mangalorean is that they have been communalized to the extent that they identify every person with their Religion / Caste / Community viewing through their communally tinted spectacles…. Regarding the tableau row, Central Government rejected the tableau of WB, TN and Kerala just because they are opposition states, but Kerala hit the Centre with the same stick and Centre / BJP is caught off-guard….. It is once again a lesson, regarding political acumen, all other states are way behind.
