Mangaluru, Jan 29: A video has surfaced in the social media that shows Wenlock hospital ICU doctors and staff playing games on their computer instead of attending to the patient.

It is said that Vijay (40) from Vagga had suffered head injuries after a fall due to high blood pressure. He was immediately shifted to Wenlock hospital on January 22. When the patient reached the hospital, instead of attending to him, the ICU doctor and other personnel, it is claimed, were playing games on their computer.

Whenever the patient's close ones called the doctors and the staff requesting them to attend to the patient, it is said, they failed to respond. The family has alleged that the doctors did not treat the patient and asked them to take the patient to some private hospital. The patient was the shifted to a private hospital immediately.

In the video shared in the social media, the patient's relatives have urged the district administration to take action against the doctors and staff for dereliction of duty.

It’s a shame to see our young doctors targeted like this. The casualty doctors would’ve been waiting for the senior staff to attend to the case as their job is to only do the initial assesment and care. These young doctors have the thankless duty of working 24 hours straight duty in the government hospital, and when they take a break for 10 minutes once they have done their initial assessment, this is the kind of thanks we give them. India is doomed if such people who lack any kind of empathy target our youth and our future doctors like this. I would also like to advise the media outlet to emphatize and publish the side of the doctors too rather than simply target them like this in this manner Jai hind.

It is not clear why they didn't attend the case. May be, there is no facility for that particular issue. First, the reason should be evaluated.

Not fair to say they are playing, the staff works 15 hours a day , they need to relax and that might be the reason they are playing, or might be they finish thier shit only waiting for thier friend ..., Our PM works 18 hours without rest busy making profits for thier business friends.

Where is Mr. Sharan Pumpwell now?. He and his team protested last week when a lady died during delivery and wanted compensation. Even when the hospital explained the case he was adamant. Now the protest will shift to Wenlock Hospital
