Mysuru: Rishikumar Swami who demanded closure of mosque, now urges ban on burqa

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Jan 29: Rishikumar Swami, who had courted controversy by announcing his decision to demolish the mosque at Srirangapatna and build a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman there, who had been jailed for a day before he could secure release on bail, has asserted again his decision to clear the mosque. In addition, he is now urging a ban on burqa.

Speaking to media on Friday January 28, the he said that he stays committed to his earlier statement about constructing Hanuman temple by demolishing the mosque in Srirangapatna. "A Hanuman temple has to be built there at any cost. Not only Srirangapatna, I will visit every village in the state alone without any crowd accompanying me. Hanuman was alone when he torched Lanka. I have already started my fight to dismantle loudspeakers giving Azaan call. I will not be cowed down by threats like severing my hands and legs.”

He called upon the state government to identify the spots where temples have been demolished to build mosques. He said if a committee is formed he and his associates will identify such temples. He demanded protection from the government.

Speaking on the issue of wearing Hijab, the Swamy demanded to ban wearing of burqas all over the country. "Not only schools, burqas should be banned all over the country just like the triple talaq. When the students wear burqas, how can one identify whether the students themselves have come or their relatives? How can you ensure that they appear for examinations on their own? Teachers of schools are just like our parents and classmates are like brothers. You cannot view them with suspicion," he said.

The Hindu religion doesn’t have any blanket dress codes across its whole population. Rather, it varies widely by regional culture. Traditionally, prior to the last couple centuries (and even into living memory in some areas), most Hindus, men, and women, usually went mostly nude, which is practical and comfortable in hot weather. Hindu temples usually require a level of modesty so as to avoid distractions, like covering the legs (for men as well as women), etc., and also don’t allow shoes. Many don’t allow any leather in the temple, even a belt or wallet. This leather prohibition is more common in Vaishnava temples and less common in Shaiva ones. I have also seen it in Shakta settings. Some temples, like traditional Tamil-style temples, have stricter dress codes, such as requiring men to wear no shirt or other clothing above the waist and requiring women to wear saris. Rishi Kumar Swami needs to go to kindergarten and learn more about his own religion.

During 1962 war Nehru the then PM had a meeting with all parties in the parliament and disclosed and discussed all facts including India’s weak technology and military preparedness because Indian republic was newly formed and still at a premature state and China took full advantage of this. Nehru had many press conferences on this regard and stopped all diplomatic, business and trades with China. But now Modi is neither disclosing nor discussing any facts but gives vague picture and information in his one way monologue fake Bhashan and unofficial monkey Ba’ath. Since now india has developed and advanced in defence and technology Modi at present has very limited option not to counter China and push it back to LAC and at the same time trade between india and China is more than billions of dollars. So Modi’s soft approach towards china’s incursion and having a business with China is a matter of concern and Modi is not transparent to the security of the country with a sworn enemy.

WHY ARE YOU NURTURING SO MUCH HATRED? FOR WHAT? WHAT WILL YOU ACHIEVE? WHY CANT YOU LIVE AND LET OTHERS LIVE? I extracted this from Google: "The poet says that hatred pollutes our own air. When we hate others, we dispossess ourselves. We tend to betray and condemn ourselves. If we hate others, we defile our own earth."

All religious leaders must concentrate on their own religion and follow the teachings written in their Holy Book and try to bring communal harmony. They should not bother or worry about what other religion people are wearing or eating and dictate terms for others. Instead of doing something good for the society these people are teaching others to hate each other. This will be very bad for the society and for the country as well and will not do any good.
