Udupi: Scooter, valuables stolen from delivery boy - Complaint filed

Udupi, Feb 1: In a shocking daylight robbery, a scooter and valuables worth Rs 20,000 were stolen from a delivery boy who works from Ekart Logistics at Ambalpady in the city.

As per the complaint filed by Ganesha (21), resident of Kolalagiri, Uppuru village of the taluk, he works as a delivery boy with Ekart Logistics. As usual, he had taken goods for delivery and had parked his Honda Dio scooter in front of Sairadha Gokuldhama apartments near Vidyodaya school at 10 am on Monday January 31. He had been inside the building to deliver a parcel. When he came out and saw within five minutes, his scooter was missing.

The delivery bag kept on the scooter had Infinix Hot-10 play company mobile worth Rs 8,299, mixer grinder worth Rs 2,191 and other small parcel items, the total value of which is around Rs 20,000. The value of the stolen scooter is around Rs 80,000.

The scooter could not be traced though the complainant searched for it throughout the city.

A complaint in this regard is filed in the city police station.

    people are desperate..no jobs..only jumla announcements of big schemes..so they have to steal scooters, cattle, gold in rectum etc for living..pathetic situation after 2014
