Bengaluru, Feb 11: Higher Education Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan has declared on Friday that there will not be any ban usage of mobile phones in Colleges.

Speaking to media representatives in Bengaluru, the minister made it clear that it would not be possible to ban the usage of phones in colleges as digital learning has become part and parcel of the study process.

Replying to a query by reporters about rumours that usage of mobiles will be banned in schools and colleges, he said, “Nowadays modern gadgets such as mobile, computer, laptop, tab, I-Pad etc., have become an integral part of the teaching-learning process. When such is the situation, how can usage of mobile phones be banned?’’

“Neither students nor parents should believe such rumours. The State Government’s aim is to provide quality education to students at all levels using modern gadgets. Accordingly, usage of mobiles in institutions will be continued,’’ Dr Narayan said.

Mobile phone usage has to be banned in the college campus during college hours except lunch break. This has to be implemented for teachers as well as students. Carrying a mobile phone shall not be a crime for emergency use, but usage during college hours is. During online classes one need not go to college campus.

It’s ok inside school and college campus but definitely not inside the classroom. It will nothing but a disturbance and distraction inside classroom and a big NO. His idea is to keep students constantly in contact with BJP app university and fake news update. He is Dr on what thesis?.
