Bengaluru: BJP leaders tweet personal information of girls who approached court over Hijab

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengluru (MS)

Bengluru, Feb 15: Amid speculations that the ongoing controversy over Hijab in schools and pre-university colleges may impact the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP), a plea has been submitted by the lawyer for the applicants to postpone the inquiry till the polling phase of UP elections is completed.

Adding fuel to the fire, BJP leaders as well as the party's official Twiter handle have shared private information of the girl students like their address and so on, in violation of their privacy. Widespread rage has been expressed by the public against the BJP leaders in this regard.

Two more writ petitions were filed in the higher bench of the high court on Monday with regard to the Hijab issue. BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and BJP national chief secretary C T Ravi have shared copies of writ petition which contain the private information of the girl students in question on their Twitter handles.

In his tweet Nalin Kumar Kateel said that four students out of six who have filed an interim writ to postpone inquiry are minors. He has attached the personal information of the students along with the tweet.

Many have expressed shock and dismay at the tweet of BJP leaders. Editor of Alt News Mohammed Zubair questioned on his Twitter account whether sharing of personal information of girl students by the BJP leaders was against the policy or not. He has tagged DGP Karnataka, Bengaluru city police and Commissioner of police Bengaluru in his tweet.

India is the only country where people fight for reservation and religious rights.... education is secondary.... we r talking about women being independent and here minor girls r fighting for being allowed to hide their identity under hijab... muslim men want their women to be all covered but they have the liberty to see any women out of their religion and marry more than once... sad state...its like walking back wards.... the same people talk about equality and then are against uniform civil code....

Cannot make out what exactly is contained in the tweet. /// Once anybody approaches any court or quasi-judicial body(commission etc), whenever any order is uploaded on the website of any of these adjudicatory bodies - then the name ,address, age etc of the person can easily be seen by anybody who knows the case number. ///This is public information because the case is openly heard in open court.///This is equally applicable to all.///Thus i see no breach of privacy in sharing details of a writ petition that is already in the public domain and available for all to see.// It would have been a breach of privacy if the details were leaked from school records etc./// For those who are interested in watching the High Court proceedings in the subject matter , it is publicly available for all to see and hear on youtube CH 1(court hall) of the Karnataka High Court youtube channel. The hearings begin live at about 2.30pm and go on until about 5pm.

Don't take the curse of mothers, admit your leaders are following misogynist Golwalkar who had advised his followers to treat women as subservient to men. Exposing personal details of minor girls is a crime and you are condoning shows your hatred for religious minorities. I pray for Lord Shiva that never in your life you or your family should need blood and that shouldn't be of religious minorities. I am ashamed that a Hindu like you are belittling the community.

It is not a rocket science to know that pre university students are minors (if they have lost any years), but the principal who fueled it cant be a minor for sure.
