Udupi: Students with Jihadi psyche began Hijab row, need NIA probe - BD

Daijiworld Media Network-Udupi (HB/DV)

Udupi Feb 16: "There is a conspiracy behind the ongoing Hijab row. It is the strategy of Jihadis using the students of schools and colleges. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) must probe this issue," said Sunil K R, state convener, Bajrang Dal.

Addressing the media at Patrika Bhavan here on Wednesday, February 16, he said "It is an effort to project separatism. Behind this row, fanatical organisations like the SDPI and PFI have a role. It is a matter of concern as these guys are acting in connivance with Pakistan's Islamic fanatics," alleged Sunil.

"Everyone should follow a uniform code prescribed by the government. This controversy would not have erupted if one needed education and not Hijab. The incident in Kundapur college was just a reaction," he defended. Through this, attempts are on to damage the reputation of the country internationally, he alleged.

"The Bajarang Dal is fighting in favor of the country and religion. We are ready to fight Jihadi forces severely. Going to the college wearing Hijab in defiance of the court order shows their Jihadi mindset. You should respect the law of the land, the Constitution and the culture of this country," he said. He exp[ressed suspicion that there was a conspiracy to divide the country.

Bajrang Dal also demanded that the NIA should probe the students who started this Hijab controversy in the Udupi college and also the people who support them.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad district vice president Ashok Paladka, district secretary Dinesh Mendon, Udupi district Bajrang Dal convener Surendra Koteshwara, district Matru Shakthi Pramuk Poornima Suresh were present at the press meet.

Defining what is Indian and non-Indian has been a goal of the Brahmin-led RSS since the 1930s. In this mantra, Muslims and Christians are termed as non-Indian. The same mantra is repeated using different words by the Central Government and the State Government ministers. Unfortunately for them, the Constitution sings a different tune. The Judiciary goes by the Constitution.

Manjunath ji, students were not allowed into the campus as usual. College should have mentioned the rules in their prospectus....regarding the hijab in the beginning of the academic year and followed the same. Not at the end of the year. So, girls protested. Why boys were not wearing shawls right from the beginning ?
