Beltangady: Doctor's Twitter account hacked, anti-Hijab tweets posted

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Feb 17: A doctor from Ujire here has filed a complaint alleging that his social media account was hacked by miscreants who used it to upload anti-Hijab posts.

Dr Shantanu R Prabhu, a pediatrician of Benaka Hospital Ujire in the taluk has complained to Beltangady police, claiming that his Twitter account has been hacked and a tweet against the Hijab has been posted therein.

In the said tweet, the hackers have said that they do not want women and girls to wear Hijabs. The tweet also says that this is neither the Taliban, Saudi Arabia or Madrassa and hence the Hijab is unwarranted.

"This is an educational institution. If you need Hijab, go to Madrassa," the tweet adds.

Along with it, a screenshot of the tweet along with the photo of the doctor holding a child in his hand has been uploaded on social media, Dr Shantanu said in his complaint.

The doctor also said that by using the said tweet opposing the Hijabs, certain people have been spreading malicious propaganda against Benaka Hospital where Dr Prabhu works. He clarified that having studied in medical college run by Muslims, he knows about Hijabs. He said that someone has made an attempt to sully his image and that he has complained to the Beltangady police.

A hyderabad techie had earlier given rape threats to virat kohlis daughter. Later there was an uproar and he was identified. That is when he had claimed that his phone was hacked. A doctor in dk district, cannot afford getting called out for publicly putting out hate opinions. Especially wen most patients belong to minority community. Hence police should do a thorough investigation if the doctors account was actually hacked or not. It is not good to produce some innocents as hackers like in the case of harish bangera.
