Udupi, Feb 26: 17th annual sports day was celebrated at GM Vidyaniketan Public School, herein Brahmavar. Saukuru Arun Shetty of Nasir Pharmacy Baharain inaugurated the sports day by hoisting the flag and lit the torch.

Addressing the students he said "We should search for the opportunities every time. Participating in the sports day with discipline is more important than winning prizes. GM Vidyaniketan is a proffessional institution which provides opportunities for sports along with curricular" he said.

Chandra Shekar Shetty. President Brahmavar Sports club on the occasion said "GM Vidyaniketan is a premiere institution. The sports ground of the institution is a attraction for the sports enthusiasts. Importance has been given for the all round development of the students" he said.

N.S. Adiga, Founder Principal opined that sports builds qualities of friendship and brotherhood.

Brahmachari K, Principal of the institution said "Sports along with other curricular makes a effective learning. It is a proud feeling for us to work under the able leadership who is supporting all our activities" he said.

Prakshchandra Shetty, President of school administration on the occasion said "We are happy to host all our events with grandeur, due to pandemic we were not able to host any events in a large scale.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Shetty, Founder president Brahmavar sports club awarded the prizes to winners. On the occasion he said "Sports activities increase physical ability of the students. GM Vidyaniktean has been putting its efforts in this regard" he said.

Pranav Shetty, Principal GM Global school addressing the students said " The experience you learnt from this sports day should be utilized in your future activities".
