MLA Bhat has congratulated chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, minister of health, social welfare and medical education Dr K Sudhaker on behalf of the people for taking the decision in order to provide better service in the health sector.
The hospital which was providing excellent maternity services to poor children was handed over against rules to the private parties during the term of the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government. The private parties did not run the hospital well. The administration of the hospital had deteriorated without paying salaries to staff and without providing proper medical treatment to the patients.
MLA K Raghupathi Bhat had urged the government relentlessly to intervene at department level and also during Vidhan Sabha sessions. Minister Dr Sudhaker had assured of taking suitable action.
Chief Minister Bommai during the foundation stone laying for upgrading the hospital to 250 bed hospital, had promised to take over and run the hospital.
