Plan to broadcast Hindu prayers during azaan in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Apr 4 (IANS): The situation is turning more serious in Karnataka with Hindu organisations planning to broadcast Hindu prayers at the time of azaan in mosques.

Hindu activist Bharath Shetty stated on Monday that the campaign would start in Anjaneya temple of Yelahanka in Bengaluru at 5 a.m., during the time of azaan. The campaign is planned throughout the state, he said.

This being a sensitive issue, more so as Ramzan has just begun, the police is making elaborate security arrangements.

The Hindu organisations are planning to broadcast "Om Namah Shivay", "Jai Shri Ram" slogans and other devotional prayers exactly at the time of azaan in mosques.

The Shri Ram Sena has stated that it had submitted a request to the auhorities for stopping the use of loudspeakers at 5 a.m. The tehsildar and the Pollution Control Board did not take any action on it.

"We will submit a complaint to the District Commissioners as a last resort. The government should ask the Muslim community to follow the guidelines of the Supreme Court. We do not oppose their prayers. But, we oppose the use of loudspeakers because of which lakhs of people are put to inconvenience," Shri Ran Sena founder Pramod Muthalik stated.

Every day at 5 AM, there will be Ram Bhajans and prayers to Lord Shiva played in temples, he stated.

The fake nationalist party is lighting the fire to the state for electoral gains. The followers and normal Hindus who justifies this act are the actual fools in these communal issues. Never think if things go out of control it will not affect your homes. Lagegi Aag, Aayenge kayi baad me, Yaha par sirf mera makaan thodi hai.

So now what is the difference between the two. Now they want to copycat Muslims like their monkey ancestors. If there is something wrong in Muslim society we need to try and change things by educating them on the subject and not try to change religious matters overnight. Only then there will be social harmony.

This is height of jealousy and hatred. Why our people are filled with hatred and jealousy lately. Bunch of this kind of people grouped together in the name of politics and try to destroy the social fabric of our Tulunadu. Everyone born in this great land have the right to live a peaceful and fruitful life but some people dont like this to happen. This is our misfortune. God save our land. Jai Bharath.

Its too harsh to take that step. As hindu we should respect all religions. We should show big heart . Muslim let them pray at their time in mosque but purposely making bhajan not fair. We should not disturb people worshipping in mosque. Every religion has their own god plzz respect . I maybe wrong but thts what i feel as hindu. Shouldn't het mosque or temple or church inbetween fight. God bless all.

The broadcasting of Hindu prayers during Azan is perhaps only to give Muslims a feel of how others feel when hearing the Azan broadcast at all the odd times of the day. Secondly, the verbiage of the Azan could be construed as objectionable too. In India, there are so many faith groups, imagine what would happen when everyone starts broadcasting from their speakers.

When you guys grow up enough to understand that creating controversies over Azan, hijab, halal cut , trade boycott , Tipu Sultan ye sab ek bahana hai... Did you try to understand why all these things all of sudden started now only and that too only in karnataka.... The agenda is to polarize voters for up coming election. They knew muslims never vote for them. They are interested only in power more than anything else and will go to any extent.

@ Don, Mangalore. Isn't ringing of the church bell a broadcast? Does that not cause inconvenience to others? If call for prayers 'azaan' which barely lasts 1 minute is a disturbance, how do you survive with the honking in the cities? How do Christians live and work and endure the call for 'azaan' in the middle east countries? This is like Sonu Nigam protesting against Azaan. But the same guy comes and stays in Dubai and performs music concerts. Lowest level of hypocrisy. Grow up.

Instead of using loudspeakers in mosques during azan, it would be better if each individual family keep alarm (either using alarm clocks or mobile phones or if they are available, specially made clocks for sounding the alarms at fixed times during the day), so that loudspeakers will not disturb people who are unconnected, and those who wan to pray can do so without any problem.

Soon it will disappear and will be called fighting city. Many youths will loose their jobs because of no more industries or companies will invest in karnataka. Also it will effect who works and planed to migrate abroad countries.
