Kasargod: One killed, four seriously injured after car falls into roadside trench

Kasargod, Apr 19: A youth died when the car in which he was travelling fell into a ditch in a bid to avoid colliding with an oncoming vehicle. This incident occurred at Shiriya under Kumble police station limits on Tuesday April 19 Monday.

The deceased is identified as Nitesh (24), resident of Ravaneshwara Vaniyampara. His brother Shravan (14) and relatives Rakshith (25), Abhishek (25) and Lokesh (25) are seriously injured.

All the passengers in the car were returning after partaking in the Puttur temple fair. When the car driver tried to evade another vehicle in order to prevent colliding, the car fell into the trench by the side of the road.

Kumble police have registered a case in this connection.
