Mangalore: Kingfish Boat Collides with Foreign Ship, One Missing

Mangalore, Feb 14: The Kingfish boat, owned by Mumtaj, which went for deep sea fishing from old Mangalore Port, collided with a foreign ship at night recently and left the crew stranded at sea.
The five crew members were rescued by other boats early in the morning but a person, named Palani Swami, has been reported missing. He is a resident of Selam, Tamil Nadu. His wife Echalavadi (28), along with three children Ranjith (8), Dviya (5) and Rajesh (3) and his father Sate have come all the way to Mangalore to search for his body.
The owner of Kingfish Mumtaj, has been trying to search for the missing Palani but have met with no success. Meanwhile the police from Mangalore and Kasargod are in dilemma as to which constituent should take up the responsibility of finding the missing Palani. He was reported missing close to the boarder of Mangalore and Kasargod coast.
The wrecked boat was pulled ashore by barges. Varghese, the Kingfish rider narrated the entire event.
