Udupi: Rural Youth Enters Guinness Record for his Creative ‘Nano Ganesh’

Udupi, Feb 16: ‘Where there is a will, there is a way.’  One does not need a specific sphere to prove to the society.  Sanjay D, a rural youth from Kaadoor, has been recognized globally for his extraordinary talent, a nano Ganesh of 2 millimeter carved in a pencil lead by Sanjay D has made his entry into the Guinness Book of World Records.
 
One centimeter clay art of Ganapa has made its entry into Guinness Record under miniature category.  It superseded the record by five millimeter of Ganapa that is carved in a grain of groundnut.  Meanwhile, a two millimeter Nano Ganesh carved in a pencil lead by Sanjay D of Kaadoor surpassed all the earlier records. 

District gets Guinness:
 
The experimenting of innovations has been the mantra of Sanjay and found success in it.  He faced many obstacles while carving Ganapati out of a pencil lead.  On persistent efforts, beautiful carvings emerged of Ganapa.  He e-mailed his application to Guinness Book of Records the advices of his mentor during October 2010.  He signed an agreement with the authorities of Guinness during December 3.  Meanwhile, he secured the sponsorship from Vidhyabivardini Sangh Barkoor.  He sent a model of Ganapati and a CD while working on his masterpiece to the authorities at Guinness.  He received e-mail message from Guinness confirming his record on first week of February. 
 
Global achievement from a rural youth:
 
Sanjay Dayanand, a resident of Kaadoor near Kokkarne, here had dreamt a great debut.  He chose to carve Ganapa on a chalk-piece initially one centimeter which earned him first prize in the school competitions.  He continued his hobby to carve out Ganapa in a tiny pencil lead.
 
Concentration trait:
 
It’s impossible task for a normal persons to concentrate on a tiny bit of pencil lead in order to carve a miniature figure.  It’s indeed a marvelous achievement to carve the figure of Ganapa just in 10 minutes.  The eye specialists say that it could only be achieved by someone with persistent efforts. 
 
Guinness to announce Record:
 
The authorities of Guinness Records will announce the entry of Sanjay D during the annual day celebrations of Barkoor College from February 25 to February 26. 
 
Sanjay to work on another Guinness Record:
 
After the success of nano Ganesh, Sanjay has plans to work on Worlds longest banner – Source of Knowledge.  It will have a length of 10 kilometers of A4 size papers.  Source of Knowledge will have the names of 10,000 pre-university and degree colleges, the syllabus of M A, M Com, MBA, B Com, B Sc, BCA, BA, DCA, primary and high school classes from 1999 to 2010, names of 1,000 engineering colleges, the names of 1,000 medical colleges, the names of universities in India, the names of 10 lac education institutions, educational opinions of 1,000 teachers and their signatures and general information on Indian education.
