Dubai, Feb 19: The third anniversary event of ‘Omzoorche Dive’, presented by the parishioners of Omzoor, Mangalore, far exceeded the expectations of the audience, and two visiting singers, who performed for the first time outside India, ensured that the audience got much more than what they aspired for. Both Vivian Santos and Rony Crasta rocked the stage with their own numbers as well as popular numbers from other singers like Melvyn Peris, Mick Max, and other Goan singers.
The anniversary bash began around 11.30 am with some musical performances by the local artistes, followed by cake cutting ceremony by the ‘Omzoorche Dive’ committee members, led by its president, Arthur Dsouza.
Dony Correa wove the entire event together with his fine, witty and stylish compering skills. He kept the audience busy throughout the sessions, with spot prizes, jokes etc, with the help of his fluency in language and excellent compering skills.
A brief stage programme was held during the interval. Felix Lobo from Doha was the chief guest. Rinna D'souza, Kuwait (Omzoor), Walter Nandalike of daijiworld.com, Dayan D’souza, founder of Daijidubai Writers Forum in UAE, Francis Fernandes Cascia, Santosh Nazareth of Mangalore Konkans, and entrepreneur, James Mendonca, were the other guests. In his message, he hailed Omzoor parishioners in UAE and their dedicated work towards helping the needy.
Walter Nandalike appreciated Omzoor parishioners for giving a chance to two talented artistes, Vivian and Rony, to perform here. He said that both these artistes will always remember Omzoorche Dive for giving the opportunity.
