Dubai : 'Tap Talent Treat' - a Feast to the eyes

Dubai, Feb 24: Our Own Indian School celebrated the ‘Good’ rating awarded to it by the Dubai School Inspection Bureau  after a recent school inspection. Wednesday February 23 and Thursday February 24 were days of celebration at the institution and saw the ‘Annual Primary Concert Tap Talent Treat’.

Tap Talent Treat was started 10 years ago with the intention of giving all primary school children a platform to display their talent and their teachers the opportunity to discover their innate talent.

The programme commenced with a rendition from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthems.







































The Grade 4 choir rendered two songs dedicated to Mother Earth while students of Grade 1 wormed their ways into the hearts of all with their enactment of Rudyard Kipling’s popular story ‘How The Camel Got its Hump’.

The students of Grade 2 enacted ‘Hansel and Gretel Eat Right’ emphasizing the need for adequate nutrition, exercise, and hygiene.

‘Rumpus In The Rainforest’ was the a musical put up by the students of Grade 3 while students of Grade 4 presented ‘Football’ with a difference as they danced to catchy tunes of FIFA World Cup theme songs. ‘In Gratitude’ was a special dance choreographed to express gratitude to teachers and parents and turned into a show stopper.

Sangeeta  Verma, wife of  Sanjay Verma, Consul General of India, Dubai  and Dr Farooq Wasil, director of education –GEMS, were the chief guests on the occasion.
