Mangaluru, May 28: An orientation programme for the parents of Grade I students, the new admissions from Grade II to VIII, LKG & UKG and Nursery was organised at Mount Carmel Central School on Friday, May 27 in three different sessions. The programme commenced with a prayer.

Principal Sr Melissa AC welcomed the gathering and briefed the parents about the school and its functioning. School counsellor  Philomina presented an informative session on 'Effective Parenting' to the parents for all the three sessions. Jacqueline and Leena briefed the parents on the syllabus and methods of Evaluation for Grade I to VIII, Joyce and Neetha updated the parents of LKG and UKG on punctuality, the need to inculcate healthy food habits and hygiene. Shyla Crasta gave inputs on the activity based teaching done at the Nursery level.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Nishain, Sumana and Babitha, thanking the parents for placing their trust in the institute and for being a part of this orientation program organised by the school. Purnima, Jenitha and Sandra compered the programme.
