While I was traveling in the busses the front four lines seats were reserved to females and sometimes some seats were lying vacant nearly 15 years ago. Now if anybody is traveling you may find half of the buses are females. The female work force in the offices, showrooms and companies has been increased considerably. This is a good trend. The females have realized to stand with their own legs. I support every cause of women in every field. THE NUMBER OF WOMEN TO MEN MENIONED IN THE ARTICLE IN SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT IS 973 AND 1000 IS NOT BAD. HOPE THIS MAY COVER NATURALLY.

When women gets socio-economic and political power then her contribution to the progress of the society is greater. In this matter India tried it's best to empower women economically and politicaly by the way of reservation in women representation in local bodies.More to be done to introduce effectively 33% reprentations in state and national Assemblies which was put on hold for the time being because of misunderstanding between the parties.Happy International women's day
