City anti-terrorism squad ready to serve Mangaluru commissionerate

Mangaluru, Jun 14: City anti-terrorism squad under the internal security department is ready to serve the city as well as the limits of commissionerate.

The team has 35 police personnel. The team undertook two months of training at Centre for Counter Terrorism (CCT) at Koodlu of Bengaluru.

The team members gave guard of honour in the presence of city police commissioner N Shashikumar, DCPs Hariram Shankar, Dinesh Kumar, team leader Subramanya M and senior police officials.

The personnel are divided into two teams of 15 members each. Five additional staff will cover the leaves. The team will have separate uniform. This information was shared by team leader Subramanya.

    My request to all who rent out accomodation in their flats or house or where ever. Please ensure you have inspected the original Adhar Card and retain the copy of the tennants along with parents as well. You have to be more cautious when you rent it out to people from outside state. You never know where you land. My neighbour is now visiting the police station at least twice a week for enquiry of the tennants who fled one fine morning.

    Aadhar card linked with Bank account and gas connection was considered by me for past many years . If Aadhar card can be created with fictitious name or identity , then there is no providential escape for landlords .

    Guys look fit and trim... Looks like we are in safe hands... Public awareness is also equally important like followed in Israel... People are the best police... Keep observing around you and report matter if suspicious... Police also must conduct sudden inspections, Naka bandi and similar precautionary measures to thwart incubation time for terrorist acts... Terrorist acts are preplanned and do not happen overnight...
